A very nice recognition by Martha Stewart's Wedding Wire.

WeddingWire, the nation’s leading wedding technology company, just announced that Alex Neumann Photography has won the 2009 Bride’s Choice Awards™!
In its inaugural year, the Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes and honors vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. This year’s recipients represent the top three percent of WeddingWire’s vendor community, which includes over 100,000 wedding vendors from across the US. That means Alex Neumann Photography is one of the very best Wedding Photography Studios.
Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through surveys and reviews.
“This year’s recipients have set the bar high, exhibiting excellent service and expertise in the wedding industry.”
Alex Neumann Photography would like to thank our past clients for speaking on our behalf and helping us win the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award!

2008, Another Banner Year
We began the year with a new blog, to highlight all of our incredible couples and their unique weddings, and the promise of regular updates. Regrettably we have not been keeping up as well as we would have liked. Thanks to the most astounding wedding season ever.
We had the opportunity meet some amazing couples, and be a part of their incredible weddings. And the greatest reward is to make friends for life ,an opportunities that I truly appreciate.
Along the way we met some amazingly cool people, such as the virtuoso of broadcasting, the legendary AL Michaels.
We met great athletes such as World Champion LA Angel's pitcher, Jon Garland
Jimmy Brettl of the Cleveland Indians,
Jason Hirsh of theColorado Rockies and my alma mater California Lutheran University.
Perhaps two of the most intriguing people we met , were the original spearmint twins of the 1960’s. Sisters who truly know how to live life to the fullest, and yes, have twice the fun J

Perhaps the most impressive accomplishment is that of Jessica Mendoza’s selection as the sportswoman of-the-year, a truly a magnificent feat. Congratulations Jessica. You are Amazing !

NEW YORK, N.Y - The Amateur Softball Association is pleased to announce that tonight at the 29th Annual Salute to Women in Sports Awards Dinner, softball player Jessica Mendoza (Camarillo, Calif.), who next year will become president of the organization, will be awarded the Sportswoman of the Year Award for team-sport athletes from the Women's Sports Foundation at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
"I see this award as a reflection of the accomplishments of all my teammates this year. It is a huge honor to be named to this list of amazing women who have won this award in past years," said Mendoza. "I also love that WSF has recognized more than just athletic achievements, but what athletes are doing to give back and keep women's sports progressing to the future."
The New Year with all its uncertainties, promises to be another banner year. With my promise of doing the best I can.

Lexie
What can I say? I am a proud Dad. This was Lexie's biggest performance yet, in front of a few hundred adoring fans :) at the Ventura Majestic Theater, and she nailed it. It was a fantastic production with Lorna Luft as the headliner. Not bad for an eight year old.
Sorry about the video quality, I think I should stick with photography :)

Another Olympic medal for Jessica Mendoza

Mendoza started in all nine games of the 2008 Olympic Games at left field, hitting .333 (8-for-24). She scored 10 runs with four homeruns. She contributed nine RBI while remaining perfect in the outfield. Her four homeruns help set a new Olympic Record for most homeruns in Olympic games by a team with 15. Mendoza is not only a leader inside the lines buts also outside. Just moments after the Gold Medal Game, where the team was dealt a devastating loss Mendoza reached out to the Gold Medalists Japan team and Bronze Medal Australian team. Together they formed the statement ‘2016’ with softballs and joined together chanting “Back Softball, Back Softball”, hoping to make a statement for the future of the sport.
Throughout the KFC Bound 4 Beijing Tour, where the team barnstormed the Nation playing exhibition games, Mendoza hit .495 with a team high 89 runs scored with 107 RBI. She was also perfect in left field in 59 games played.tball team put on a clinic in the olympic come.
